Hi, I'm Marie-Aude
I'm thrilled you're here.
I've been practicing and teaching yoga for over 30 years, and if there's one thing I’ve learned, it’s that yoga is never one-size-fits-all. My classes are intuitive, never scripted, and always centered around what you need that day—whether that’s deep rest, strength, clarity, or just space to breathe.
I teach in the East Mountains of Albuquerque—right here in Sandia Park, NM—and I love serving my local community in Edgewood, Tijeras, Cedar Crest, Moriarty, Golden, Madrid, Carnuel, Estancia, Cochiti, and Albuquerque.
My teaching style is clear, alignment-focused, and grounded in years of experience. You'll hear inspiring music from around the world, and you’ll always get a theme to carry off the mat—for your own personal spiritual growth.
My own daily spiritual practice keeps me grounded, inspired, and present with each student. And alongside yoga, I offer intuitive holistic health coaching—something I never expected would grow out of a nutrition degree I got in France decades ago!

How the Journey Became the Calling
My path to teaching yoga has been a long and winding one—woven with devotion, curiosity, and a deep reverence for the practice. Over the years, my trainings have brought me to the doorsteps of many remarkable teachers. Too many to name, but each left a unique imprint on my journey. A few, however, profoundly shaped not only my practice, but the way I walk through life and guide others on the path of self-discovery.
Vinyasa Flow has become my home—my favored expression of yoga. It’s smooth, intuitive, and fluid—a moving meditation that brings breath and body into a sacred rhythm. While Vinyasa is my foundation, I’ve also studied other rich traditions over the years: Anusara, Hatha, Power Flow, Iyengar, and more. Each one continues to inform and expand my teaching, giving me a broader lens and a deeper well from which to draw.
With nearly 30 years of teaching experience, I’ve developed a versatile and responsive style that honors where each student is on their journey. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or brand new to the mat, my classes are designed to meet you exactly where you are, while gently encouraging transformation from the inside out.
Teaching yoga is a sacred gift—one I don’t take for granted. Every class is an opportunity to connect, to uplift, and to serve. I love what I do, and I’m honored to walk this path with you.

Kundalini Yoga – The Gateway to My Yogic Path
Kundalini Yoga was my first introduction to yogic practices during my time in New York City. I was deeply drawn to the chanting and powerful breathwork—demanding practices that pushed me beyond physical limits and opened a gateway to a space beyond time and pain. It was exhilarating and transformative.
I kept returning to the teachings of Sat Jivan Kaur Khalsa at Kundalini Yoga East, often alongside friends who were equally captivated by the energy of the practice. In 1998, I completed my first teacher training with Ravi Singh (now teaching under Raviana Yoga), which marked the true beginning of my journey as a teacher.
Each summer, I traveled to Espanola, New Mexico, to attend White Tantric Yoga with the late Yogi Bhajan. These powerful gatherings left a deep impression on me and eventually introduced me to both Sikhism and Surat Shabd Yoga.
As I reflect on it now, I see clearly that every step on the path was a sacred stone placed to guide me toward where I was meant to be. At least—that’s what I believe.
Hatha Yoga, Pranayama & the Yoga Sutras
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, my yogic exploration deepened when I met Dr. Tiwari of the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute in Lonavla, India (kdham.com). Under his guidance, I studied the classical teachings of Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, and Shat kriyas—the traditional yogic cleansing techniques.
This immersive training also introduced me to the profound wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the Eight Limbs of Yoga, which continue to inform both my personal practice and teaching philosophy today.
Surat Shabda Yoga
Since 2001, I was blessed to study under the direct guidance of Sri Gary Olsen, the current Living Master of Surat Shabd Yoga—also known as the Path of Light and Sound, as taught through MasterPath.
This profound spiritual practice is the foundation of my strength, clarity, and purpose. It informs not only my teaching but every aspect of how I live, serve, and continue to unfold spiritually. It is both my dharma and my vehicle for Self-realization.
I owe the depth of my spiritual growth to this living Master and remain eternally grateful for His Divine presence and guidance on the Path.

A Childhood in the Loire Valley: Where My Roots Began
I was born and raised in Angers, France, (pronounced:
[ɑ̃.ʒe]) a city nestled in the heart of the lush Anjou region, famously called "The Garden of France" by the Kings of France. This region is known for its mild climate, fertile soil, and abundant beauty—home to fragrant flowers, golden apples, the delicate Pear d’Anjou, and the renowned Cointreau liqueur, which is still produced in Angers today.

Growing up in the peaceful suburbs of Angers, affectionately known as la douceur Angevine (the sweetness of Angers), I spent my early years in the riverside town of Sainte-Gemmes-sur-Loire, surrounded by the natural rhythm of the Loire River. Summers were split between helping at the family farm and playing along the beach in La Baule—a mix of country life and coastal joy that shaped my connection to nature.
The Loire Valley, stretching from Angers to Orléans, is the largest and most culturally rich region in France, dotted with spectacular medieval and Renaissance castles built between the 12th and 16th centuries. Following the course of the river reveals a landscape of charming villages, historic churches, celebrated vineyards, and serene green countryside. It’s no wonder the Val de Loire is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site—a treasure trove of history, beauty, and spirit.
